B I O 

 

I’m a London‑based film professional from Cebu, Philippines, developing Tapok — a sales and distribution initiative championing Southeast Asian and Filipino stories.

 

My work sits at the intersection of market access, research, and festival strategy for independent filmmakers. I’m particularly interested in how culturally specific films can circulate internationally without losing the authenticity of their cultural contexts.

 

With an MA in International Film Business from the London Film School and the University of Exeter, my primary interest is rethinking traditional distribution models and expanding global pathways for independent filmmakers.

    A B O U T   T A P O K

     

    "Tapok" is a Cebuano term for "to gather" - a word fitting for a culture where 

    community is at the core of its values.

     

    Tapok is an emerging film sales and distribution initiative supporting films from the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Currently in research and development, Tapok explores how independent films from underrepresented regions can build stronger festival, market, and audience access internationally.

     

    The project is shaped by conversations with filmmakers, producers, programmers, sales agents, and distributors, with a focus on practical routes to visibility, circulation, and sustainability.

    I am attending the Marché du Film in Cannes and would love to connect with producers, programmers, sales agents, distributors, and filmmakers interested in Southeast Asian cinema.

     

    I’m especially keen to learn from companies working across international sales, acquisitions, festival strategy, and audience-building for independent films.
